Just A Little Background here...

A while back, on November 6th 2005, two inspired individuals, Ecko Zhammi and Tarek Silv, founded MinTek Heavy Industries, an industrial mining corporation which had a purpose greater than simply accomplishing ordinary activities in EvE. The idea behind the project was to unite pilots from around the universe that all exercised the one common profession of miner, a unity that would become a larger community of people of varying skills, ages and races. Efforts were done to create a relaxed, active and fun environment in which any miners could be accommodated and live a great experience in EvE. It didn't take long for encouraging results to manifest.

On April 16th 2006, the MinTek community considered their next move by contributing to the foundation of an anti-pirate alliance named Cairdeas Alliance. Unfortunately, the experience was not as good as it had been anticipated and many efforts that were put into the Cairdeas project had ended up in vain. MinTek chose to break away a month later, making it a stand-alone corporation once again. The establishment had failed, but new relations with colleague corporations had been created and maintained. One of them was with Apathy In Death, a community that had surprisingly similar values as MinTek. Discussions of a merge between the two communities had eventually emerged in the spirit of creating mutual benefits for an eventual move to 0.0 space.

On June 24th 2006, MinTek Heavy Industries and Apathy In Death disbanded and united under Enosis, the Greek equivalent of "Union". The morale and spirit was astonishing and everyone gradually found their posts that suited them.

On July 30th 2006, Enosis applied and obtained membership in the Interstellar Starbase Syndicate Alliance. During that month, Enosis suffered internal leadership problems with key leaders being forced to leave the universe to attend real life matters. This caused corporate wide slowdowns and also affected its integrity resulting in a considerable number of members leaving to seek employment elsewhere. Operations were crippled, treasury headed downhill, times were difficult. Some considered Enosis nearing its end at a very young age, others kept faith and tried to come up with ways of bringing the light back to life. It was determined that at this rate, the dissolving was imminent. The light slowly faded until complete darkness was about to engulf.

A month later, in September 2006, Rikke Platino, Reldan Elli and Rolszta, with the help of a few other courageous and leadership gifted members stood up to set in motion some plans in the hopes of turning Enosis back into what it was intended to be. Results were realistic and attainable. For a while, Enosis could see dim rays of light as hope rose on the horizon.

On October 20th 2006, Ecko Zhammi, former C.E.O. of MinTek Heavy Industries returned to the universe of EvE after overcoming the issues that had pulled him away. Seeing his friends struggling, it did not take too long for him to step forth and provide Enosis with the assistance that it was lacking. In the few months that followed, Enosis steadily established and grew back to what it was intended to become: a union of players that want to enjoy EvE the way it was intended to be played, in a serious and distinguished community that is hard to find nowadays. Unfortunately, accomodating the whole corporation in a large 0.0 alliance became the least interest of half the members. Being sick of constant warfare and no place to play at peace, they began manifesting the need to turn back to the way of the good old MinTek days. Eventually, the corporation came to the conclusion that they couldn't harbor everyone in while preserving the initial vision.

On March 7th 2007, MinTek was re-enstated and reorganized for secure empire operations, far away from alliances and wars. Members distributed themselves across both corporations.

On February 14th 2008, MinTek moved to the Molden Heath region where it has since been running all of its activities in. The need for a combination of good mission agents and mining systems prompted this decision.
